Jim Mattingly

Co-founder of Mattingly Lawn Care, Jim has also dedicated his entire career to fine-tuning his techniques, skills and passion for the business. He particularly loves spending time with new customers and listening to their needs before recommending a program for their lawn. Jim graduated from Ball State University in 1988 with a bachelor’s in Business Administration and holds a Turf Manage pesticide license from the state of Indiana. Beyond managing our lawn care business, Jim can be found at Good Shepherd Church/Central Catholic School where he donates his time maintaining their 4 1/2 acres of lawn and athletic fields. Jim and his wife Tina are super busy raising their four children — Andrew, Austin, Adam, and Anna. He enjoys attending their many sporting events along with rooting on his Purdue Boilermakers and Roncalli Rebels.

Ray Mattingly

Ray is the president and co-founder of Mattingly Lawn Care Inc. Ray helped start his lawn care company as a way of earning money for college and graduated from Purdue University, with a bachelor’s in Industrial Management. He holds an Industrial, Institutional, Structural, and Health-Related Pest Management license with the State of Indiana. Ray is a past President of the Indiana Professional Lawn and Landscape Association (IPLLA) and currently serves as the treasurer of the Indiana Outdoor Management Alliance (IOMA). Ray has worked in the lawn care industry his entire career and enjoys being out in the field daily ensuring his customers are getting the legendary care and service they have come to expect. When he’s not working, he loves spending time with his wife Carrie and his three children: Alex, Christopher, and Ava. Ray is a major sporting enthusiast and enjoys coaching youth basketball. He can often be heard rooting for his alma mater Purdue Boilermakers, Indianapolis Colts and Indiana Pacers, and his adopted Chicago Cubs.

Steve Mattingly

Steve developed his passion for the lawn care business early on, beginning with mowing lawns when he was just 12 years old. He hasn’t stopped perfecting his skills ever since. He obtained a degree in Commercial Horticulture and Landscape Management from Purdue University. After college he obtained his Indiana Certified Applicator’s license in Turf Management. Since joining the family business in 1994, he quickly applied his education to take over the lawn care and irrigation services and currently manages customer service. Steve is a past President of the Indiana Professional Lawn and Landscape Association in 2010 (IPPLA), a member of the Athletic Field & Grounds Managers Association of Indiana (AFGMI), and is a consultant for the grounds and athletic fields at Roncalli High School. During his free time, he enjoys spending time with his many nieces and nephews and like his brothers, is a die-hard Boilermaker and Colts fan.
